Lotus Eco Resort Konark
Lotus Eco Resort Konark, a premier eco-friendly resort in Konark, hosted a grand dinner for the esteemed delegates of the G20 Summit. The dinner, held recently, featured a delectable array of international and traditional Odisha cuisine, providing a memorable gastronomic experience for the distinguished guests.
The G20 comprised of 20 countries including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and the European Union, has been at the forefront of promoting global economic growth and cooperation.
Bharat Bhusan Biswal, General Manager, Lotus Eco Resort Konark said, “The third meeting of the G20 working group on education was crucial for the entire country, not just for Odisha. Since my team and I were in charge of planning both dinner and the high tea, it was undoubtedly a very huge responsibility. The high tea was hosted at the Kamat Food Court inside the Interpretation Centre in Konark, followed by the dinner hosted at the Lotus Eco Resort. We made every effort to demonstrate the cuisine and hospitality that are hallmarks of the Kamat Group. Our emphasis was on keeping with the tradition, so we had also organized local folk dance performances to welcome the guests. The plan from India has the support of the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organisation. Since the year 2023 has been designated as the International ‘Year of Millets’, Odisha has been promoting millets through the Millet Mission for the past few years. So, we decided to include a few millet-based dishes in our menu."
