On a cold December evening, Rajvi and Shanay’s Sangeet takes off full throttle amidst the glitz and glamour reflected through the dresses, gowns, and tuxedos. Multiple family performances on the magnificent stage gave everyone the butterflies leading up to the main event. A stunning carnival entry for the bride and groom followed by the early blessings of grandparents who kick-started the event with the cutest performance of the night. Not to mention the children, cousins, aunts and uncle all rehearsed and ready to add to the energy of the evening. The highlight, was undoubtedly, the special surprise performance by Bollywood heart-throb Ranveer Singh, who with his roof-shaking moves took the event to another level. It was a high voltage mashup performance on his latest hits, celebrating the joyous couple.

The next day, saw the Mehendi function at bride’s home with a beautiful peacock and Indian mela theme. From jootis, borlas, maang-teekas, to the kacchi ghodi entry with ghoomar dancers for the bride and groom it took everyone back to the good old experience of being in a Mela. Adding to the life of the event was the exquisite floral decor of whites, pinks, and greens with surreal peacocks all across. The big wedding day had a grand mandap with white and pink flowers enveloping the top as well as falling from the ceiling giving it the intended ‘Padmavati’ look.

The bride was clad in her beautiful heavy Manish Malhotra outfit complementing the groom’s gold sherwani. As she entered in her majestic round ‘doli’ decorated in orange, heads turned in awe of her splendor. Post the lavish ceremony the dinner was open to everyone’s delights. With an impressive spread of of pickles, sushi, curries, and pulses, one could not stop gorging on. The Shah family had put their best foot forward setting an example of the perfect host for the perfect evening.

The Mumbai wedding was hosted at the Race Course with NSCI chosen for the Sangeet.
