JSW Cements Sales for 2018 with a Conference in Goa

ITW Playworx, an Entertainment, Media & Communication division of ITW Consulting managed JSW Cement’s 1st Annual Sales Conference 2017 in Goa from April 19 to 21, at Park Hyatt, Goa. The event was organised to motivate, celebrate and reward the success of 250 employees of the company. It also created a platform to have an informal interaction with the senior management along with Parth Jindal, MD, JSW Cement who inaugurated and addressed the conference.

Since the objective of the conference was to motivate the employees to achieve sales, the theme of the event was aptly titled ‘Lakshya 2018’. The conference was focused on sales personnel to motivate them to achieve higher growth and the desired target for 2018. The company also clearly laid out the plan to achieve the desired target.  To motivate the team for Lakshya 2018, various activities were planned by the agency such as Target Shooting, Motivational speakers, ‘I am Champion/Winner’-themed props to click selfies and other engagements. Additionally, a detailed merchandise kit was created in line with the theme by the agency.

In order to strike right balance between work and play, the conference activities included experiencing the city’s infrastructure and visiting famous tourist attractions with a local guide. The itinerary covered St. Francis Church, Old Goa and a city tour. The first day was dinner by the beach followed by an authentic Goan style performance.

One of the main challenges faced by ITW was to entertain employees from various regions of the country while syncing it in with the theme. Since the sales teams were to achieve targets in their region in order to achieve the National target, for entertainment, the DJ was briefed to play regional hit songs (Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Hindi, English, Bengali & Kannada) getting everyone connected with each other’s sensitivities while on the floor.
