Showtime Welcomes Back Nestle MAGGI With A Grand Re-Launch In Delhi

A one-of-a-kind event produced by the Showtime group welcomed back MAGGI to the Indian market after a nationwide ban that lasted for five months. Nestle made the announcement at a re-launch event held on Nov 18, 2015, at Hotel Novotel, Aerocity, New Delhi. Over 850 employees were present at the event to celebrate MAGGI’s comeback.

Echoing the emotions of the consumers from all over India and creating a perfect build-up for the welcome-back, the show kicked-off with a dance performance woven around a mash-up of happy songs. Nestle’s latest campaign - Kush Kush Khusham - was revealed after a highly inspirational address by Suresh Narayanan – CMD, Nestle India. RJ Naved of Radio Mirchi made a special appearance and entertained the audience with his narration of the excitement and sense of anticipation among MAGGI customers. The next session saw team presentations on Nestle’s nation-wide product distribution effort and how MAGGI has been welcomed back across India, with consumers making a beeline for the product at dealerships across the country.

The highlight of the event was a live digital activation module. Unlike typical conferences where participants are asked to put their mobiles on silent mode, the attendees were encouraged to use their smartphones and post their messages online with the hashtag #WelcomeBackMAGGI, which were then screened live. The level of interaction was at a peak, with attendees actively posting on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

The show came to an end with the unveiling of Nestle’s theme for its sales force. This was done in the form of a dance performance choreographed to a special motivational song - ZIDD HAI. A series of branch conferences followed the re-launch event. The local sales teams in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai displayed their talents through skits, dance, and musical performances reflecting their happiness on welcoming back MAGGI.

Speaking about the events, Akshay Chawla – VP, Showtime Group said: “It was indeed a matter of great pride and honor that Nestle chose us to re-launch India’s most loved food brand. We were working very closely with the MAGGI brand team for a long time to find the best way to  interact with and establish a platform for the audience to express their emotions while welcoming MAGGI back. There was a tremendous level of energy and excitement at Showtime as we worked on this landmark project.”

The re-launch event held at Novotel, Aerocity on Nov 18 was attended by over 850 Nestle employees. Branch conferences were also held in major cities across the nation.
