Ankita Modani and Jay Mehta’s wedding at Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas in Doha was planned by Weddings by ESL, ensuring a blend of their Indian heritage with Qatari cultural elements. Initially considering Rajasthan as their wedding destination, they shifted to Qatar due to scheduling constraints.

For a destination wedding, a venue must accommodate multiple events while offering distinct settings for each function. After exploring various options, the couple, along with their planning team, chose Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas for its well-structured event spaces and guest-friendly layout.
“Offering incredible vistas, Middle-Eastern hospitality, and top-notch luxury, Qatar is a gem of a destination for elite weddings. Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, Doha with its diverse in-house venues, provided stunning and exclusive backdrops for every celebration, ensuring a truly immersive and memorable experience for the guests.” shares Ekta Saigal Lulla from Weddings by ESL. The planning team worked to maximize the venue’s features, using different areas to suit each function’s requirements.

Ankita and Jay’s wedding included distinct themes for each function, incorporating décor, customized menus, and planned entertainment. The planning team ensured coordination across all aspects—décor, catering, sound, and lighting—so that each event was executed smoothly.
The celebrations started with a dinner showcasing Qatari hospitality. Local performers added a cultural element, and the décor featured floral arrangements and warm lighting to set a relaxed atmosphere.

The Haldi ceremony reflected the couple’s Gujarati roots with décor inspired by Lipan Art and a Radha Krishna backdrop. The color scheme and materials were selected to keep the setting traditional yet simple.
Although Rajasthan was their original choice, the wedding theme incorporated Rajasthani design elements in a Qatar setting. Gold and maroon décor, velvet drapes, and soft lighting created a formal yet inviting atmosphere for the sundowner ceremony.

The bride wanted a Classic English Tea Party theme for one of the daytime events. The setup included pastel floral arrangements, vintage tableware, and European-style desserts. Foodlink Luxury Catering arranged a Ladurée counter with macarons and pastries, keeping the menu in line with the theme.

For the Sangeet, the theme was Arabic Desert Oasis, incorporating lounge seating, Middle Eastern food selections, and ambient lighting. The entertainment featured LED screen visuals and family performances, adding a lively touch to the evening.

A wedding of this scale required efficient coordination across vendors. The production team managed transitions between events, ensuring that décor setups, lighting changes, and sound adjustments were handled smoothly. House of Vivaah adapted each venue space to fit the themes, while Foodlink Luxury Catering curated a menu that blended Indian and international flavors.

Entertainment was planned to match the tone of each function. Local artists performed at the welcome dinner, while the Sangeet featured music, DJ sets, and choreographed performances. Other elements, such as bartending by The Tipsy Co, added to the overall experience.
