The Saudi Games 2024 officially kicked off in a grand ceremony opened by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. The event is being held at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, highlighting the national significance of the games and their alignment with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030. This event was executed by Spectra Events and Experiences.
The opening ceremony, which took place at the Boulevard City in Riyadh, witnessed a high-profile guest list, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, members of the Saudi Royal Family, government officials, International Olympic Committee members, and Presidents of various International Federations. The event featured an of Saudi cultural performances and contemporary artistic expressions, with live performances by Saudi singers Arwa and Abdulwahab. Fireworks display lit up the night sky, adding to the excitement and grandeur of the ceremony.
As the Kingdom’s multi-sport event, the Saudi Games 2024 features over 6,000 athletes competing across more than 200 sporting events.
