Diageo India and BharatCares Partners to Unveil WASH Projects in Meghalaya

Diageo India, in partnership with BharatCares, has launched Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects at Seng Khasi Upper Primary School and Soso Tham Memorial School in Meghalaya. The initiative, celebrated at an inauguration ceremony with representatives from both organizations, aims to improve the learning environment for over 120 students and staff. At Seng Khasi Upper Primary School, the project includes installing a dedicated RO plant, modernizing the drinking water station, and renovating toilets and the school boundary wall. Soso Tham Memorial School will benefit from a new classroom with a dyna roof, separate toilets for boys and girls, a handwashing station, and upgraded drinking water facilities.

Together with our NGO partner BharatCares, these initiatives will help enhance the overall well-being by creating a healthier, hygienic and beneficial environment for the students and the staff members.”

These projects will help improve the overall infrastructure of the schools by installing water purification systems, upgrading sanitation facilities, and enhancing structural elements. Through these initiatives, our aim is to provide students with a better learning environment and access to essential facilities.”
