The Women of the Year Awards, presented by EVENTFAQS Media, celebrated the extraordinary achievements of pioneering women in the Indian event and wedding industry with an unforgettable ceremony held at WOW Awards Asia on August 18, 2024. The event was a tribute to the remarkable women reshaping the landscape with their innovation, creativity, and leadership.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Pooja B, setting an inspiring tone for the afternoon. The  Women of the Year Awards serve as a platform to honor the exceptional stories, relentless passion, and transformative impact of these phenomenal leaders.

The event featured a stunning Kathak performance by the Spandan Centre of Excellence, led by the talented Lakshya Sharma. This performance included a Shree Ganesh Vandana and a powerful depiction of Shiv and Shakti, showcasing the grace and beauty of Kathak dance. Artists such as Arijit Bhattacharya, Aparna Mane, Sunaina Badrike, Ruchira, Gautami Angolkar, and Shweta Patwal brought the performance to life.

The ceremony continued with engaging addresses from esteemed guests. Lydia Buthello, Head of NMACC and Experiences & Events at Reliance, shared her insights and experiences, reflecting on her remarkable journey from Production Assistant to a leading industry figure.

Next, Mareesha Parikh, Creative Director and CEO of Swaaha Weddings and Experiences, took the stage. Her address highlighted the importance of creativity and innovation in the industry. The spotlight then shifted to the acclaimed actress Konkana Sen Sharma, whose illustrious career in indie cinema has made her a celebrated figure in the arts. Her presence added a touch of glamour and gravitas to the event, and her conversation with Mareesha resonated deeply with the audience.
