Himachal Pradesh CM initiates construction of Rs. 33.75 Crore Tourism Complex in Auhar, Bilaspur

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has initiated the construction of a new tourism complex in Auhar, Bilaspur district, with an estimated cost of Rs. 33.75 crores. Scheduled for completion within two years, the complex will include a hotel block, a food court, and a recreational zone, all equipped with modern amenities.

The hotel block will feature a reception-cum-waiting area, a restaurant with seating for 60, a conference room for 30, a Dham hall for 400, a banquet hall for 300, restrooms, a kitchen, and toilets. Additionally, it will offer 40 guest rooms. The food court will have seating for 214 people, with eight stalls, a pickup area, common toilets for men and women, a children’s play area, and a green space.

The recreational zone will include a swimming pool, a gym and spa, a pantry, a store, a back office, and toilet facilities on the ground floor. The first floor will house an indoor games room for pool, a lobby area, four massage rooms, and additional toilets. Furthermore, the complex will incorporate a proposed sewage treatment plant (STP) with a capacity of 50 KLD, complete with green grassing, royal palm trees, and a sprinkler system.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, said, “The new complex will epitomize luxury and cater to tourists with its state-of-the-art facilities. The second phase of the complex will be constructed on the opposite side of the road, with both blocks interconnected. This phase will feature an amusement park for children, a food court and other essential amenities and the entire project will cost of Rs 150 crore.”

He instructed that the tourist complex be integrated with water sports activities at Gobind Sagar Lake, including speed boats and sailing boats, to enhance the visitor experience and attract more tourists to the area.

The state government is dedicated to improving infrastructure and providing world-class facilities for tourists to ensure a comfortable stay. Recognizing tourism as a vital sector for boosting the state’s economy, it also creates significant employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth. The government is making every effort to position Himachal Pradesh as a premier tourism destination, leaving no stone unturned in its endeavors.
