Envisioned as a vast 500,000 square meter district, this groundbreaking initiative aims to establish an unparalleled gaming paradise. Led by True Gamers, a renowned esports lounge network, the $280 million development pledges to reshape the gaming scene in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

At the heart of Abu Dhabi’s esports island lies True Gamers eSports club, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with professional gaming training centers and the cutting-edge TG Arena, primed for hosting international tournaments. Complementing these facilities is a luxurious hotel offering, where gamers can indulge in unique experiences such as PUBG-style parachute check-ins.

The significance of this project extends beyond mere entertainment. With over 60% of the Middle Eastern population identifying as gamers, Abu Dhabi’s esports island represents a strategic investment in the region’s burgeoning gaming community. This approach caters to the tech-savvy youth, providing not only top-tier gaming amenities but also innovative programs like the GG Bootcamp, designed to optimize performance through tailored nutrition and rest regimes.

Beyond gaming, the island boasts a diverse array of attractions, including a dedicated arena featuring cutting-edge simulators and streaming zones, as well as the Digital Tower, fostering collaboration among workspace and animation developers.

Anton Vasilenko, CEO, and co-founder of True Gamers, emphasizes the meticulous planning behind the project, citing extensive market analysis and a deep understanding of the global esports landscape. This strategic approach underscores Abu Dhabi’s commitment to establishing itself as a leader in the esports arena.

However, Abu Dhabi faces stiff competition from its neighbor, Saudi Arabia, whose own esports ambitions are nothing short of monumental. The esports district in Qiddiya City, set to be larger than the Vatican City, promises to be a formidable rival, boasting the world’s largest esports stadium and a myriad of luxury amenities.
