Nova Music Festival Exhibit New York City Reut Feingold

In October 2023, there was a terrorist attack at the Nova Music Festival. It has been six months since the devastating incident occurred. The Hamas militants forcefully got into the concert at the time of sunrise and killed a total of 370 people. Right after that they have hostage 44 people. The Nova Music Festival was held to celebrate Simchat Torah, the Jewish holiday.

The music festival was an electronic dance music festival. The crowd was enjoying themselves to the fullest and dancing to the songs when this dreadful attack happened. The sudden attack created fear among the audience. This brutal incident in the music concert had shattered everyone.

Due to this conflict, thousands of Palestinian and Israeli people have been mercilessly killed. It has a huge problem in Gaza and created a scary situation for all. This terrorist attack was one of the most devastating incidents that has happened in a music concert. And it will be remembered by all for a lifetime.

To remember those who have lost their lives at the festival and beyond, the Nova Music Festival founders are teaming up with creative director Reut Feingold to bring a remembrance installation to New York City in April.  

The exhibition, titled The Nova Music Festival Exhibition: October 7 06:29AM, first premiered in Tel Aviv for 10 weeks and will be open to the public in NYC in April, with the exact date and location to be announced in the coming weeks. 

The installation includes remains salvaged from the festival grounds, including scorched cars, bullet-riddled bathroom stalls and personal belongings all left behind. Nova survivors of the brutal attack will be also attending the exhibition. There will additionally be a healing tent, a lighthouse with the declaration, “We will dance again”.

The Nova founders include Omri Sassi, Yoni Feingold, Ofir Amir and Yagil Rimoni, and the United States partners for the exhibition include Scooter Braun, Joe Teplow and Josh Kadden.
