Goa Relaxes Licensing for Religious & Domestic Events; Introduces 3 Year License for Open Air Venues

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on March 14 said that religious or domestic events of up to 100 people in temples, churches or private areas no longer will require a licence. Open air venues will be eligible for a licence of up to three years’ validity by paying a fee.
However, the option to obtain a licence for each event will continue to be available, the government has taken this decision under its 'Ease of Doing Business' reforms.
Sawant was speaking after launching the RTI online portal at his official Altinho residence. Following the portal's launch, online application facility will now be available to access information under the Right to Information Act. The first or second appeal, including the RTI application, can also be made online through the portal and the fees can also be paid through the digital mode.
After logging in to the RTI online portal, users will have to submit their mobile number and email details following which you can click on the department and apply for the required information.
Additionally, Sawant also released the government's 'Nave Parva' magazine, the first edition since publication had ceased due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will now again be published once every three months containing information on State and Central government schemes.
