IPL: 9 Companies Secure Tender Documents for Partner Slots

The IPL tender document for associate and special partner slots has been secured by nine companies with some big names being Ceat, Aramco, RuPay, Dream11, Mastercard and Phone Pe, media networks have reported. Five of these companies are already sponsors in the Indian Premier League.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced the release of a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Official Partner Rights for the Indian Premier League on January 30.
Towards the start of this month, BCCI also fixed a cumulative base price of Rs 2,700 crore for six associate and three special partner slots for IPL.
According to an earlier news report, the annual base prices for the orange and purple caps, umpire, and strategic timeout partnerships were fixed at Rs 60 crore, Rs 50 crore, and Rs 40 crore, respectively, for 74 matches. The cumulative base price for these three partnership slots amounts to Rs 750 crore over five years of IPL.
The last date for the RFQ purchase was fixed for February 19 and it was then reported that the bids were to be submitted on February 21.
