After the resounding success of the 1st Dahanu festival, get ready to explore picturesque coastal Maharashtra as the Dahanu Festival 2.0 is now around the corner. The Sea View Park at Dahanu Beach will host the annual event on February 23, 24, and 25, 2024. Conceptualized to promote Dahanu as an excellent off-beat yet easily accessible beach holiday destination and to promote local art culture and local entrepreneurship, the annual festival is organized collaboratively by the Government of Maharashtra, the local government bodies, and the Dahanu Municipal Council.

Vaibhav Aware, Chief Officer, Dahanu Nagar Parishad, said, “Dahanu has excellent potential for beach tourism, for people to explore local culture, art, and craft, and for people to indulge in water sports. Adventure enthusiasts can enjoy activities such as aero sports, water sports, and horse riding on the beach and visit fisherman’s villages to get a first-hand experience of the coastal rural lifestyle in Maharashtra. The town is already a popular choice for people looking for a weekend getaway from Mumbai, and we are now aiming to leverage the Dahanu festival to promote it nationally.”
