Mars Wrigley India, a prominent player in the chocolate and confectionery segment of Mars Incorporated, has welcomed Nikhil Rao as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The appointment was announced on January 12, 2024. Nikhil Rao joins Mars Wrigley India from Mondelez, where he served as the Vice President - Marketing for Mondelez Southeast Asia (SEA).

In his new role, Nikhil will take charge of steering the marketing vision, leading strategic initiatives, and overseeing the end-to-end execution of Mars Wrigley’s portfolio strategy in India. Based in the Gurgaon corporate office, he will report to Tamer Kadry, Country General Manager, Mars Wrigley India.

Announcing the appointment, Tamer Kadry, Country General Manager, Mars Wrigley India said, “I am delighted to welcome Nikhil as our Chief Marketing Officer and key member of the India Leadership Team. Nikhil Rao brings nearly 25 years of experience to Mars Wrigley India, with a career that has spanned Global, Regional, and Local BU roles in Sales and Marketing. He is an alumnus of IIT, Madras, and IIM, Calcutta.

The appointment of Nikhil Rao is seen as a strategic move by Mars Wrigley India to enhance its marketing leadership and continue its growth momentum in the dynamic Indian market.
