With over 120 members of the event management fraternity, KEMA marks its second general body meeting

The Karnataka Event Management Association (KEMA), on account of its second General body meeting, organized the Event Manager’s Meet up at Hotel Shangrila, Vasanthnagar. The monthly meet saw the celebration of 120 + memberships of event management fraternity into the association. Some new and exciting event technologies were showcased at the event too.                          

The evening began with knowledge session by Brian Tellis, an unparalleled pioneer in the events and entertainment industry with a path-breaking career that spans over 3 decades. It was a great inspiration to listen Brian as he takes everyone through his journey of success from being an accomplished emcee, musician, actor, consultant, voiceover artist, a radio jockey to holding a position of President of India’s Largest Event Management Association, EEMA.   

Highlight of the event was panel discussion which had big names of Fashion Industry, Fashion Guru Prasad Biddappa Manoviraj Khosla, Fashion Designer, Brian Tellis and Tony Stephen, Event Manager. It was a great discussion and learning of best practices as the stalwarts of the evening talked out their perspectives of ‘How Content makes a successful Evening’, which was well moderated by renowned MJ Rakesh.

Speaking on the occasion of the Event, Arvind Jyot Sabhaney, President, KEMA said, “It is a moment of pride for the entire fraternity of events in Karnataka. What started as a dream to bring all stakeholders of the events ecosystem on this common platform has taken shape now. We have gained traction, standardized systems and processes, connected the bridges between the stake holders, solving licensing and permissions, by connecting with government. Our ultimate aim is to make Karnataka the number one State for weddings and events in the country. We will get there with everyone's support. So if you are in anyway connected to this industry, come and become a part of our KEMA Family.”

He further added, “We at KEMA are working towards customer delight and making collaborations with Event management industries an everlasting experience as Clients and Corporates depend on us to make their celebrations, landmark events and memories for a lifetime.”

Anita Makharia, Founder Shubhkamanaye Events and Experiences, PR and Marketing, KEMA said, "I am glad that we as members of KEMA, in a short span of time have set industry standards that have been successful in guiding its members and safeguarding their interests in the Industry.”

She further added, "In our short journey, we've accomplished so much by addressing every aspect of Event Management Companies. Now, we are forming various sub-committees that will lead us to even greater heights. These sub-committees cover venue management, importance of safety and security, knowledge based education series for event planners and well-being of members, where members are a part of these committees. It addresses every aspect of event management companies, and this has helped us achieve many milestones as one family of the event management industry since the inception of KEMA."

The main chief guests of the Evening, Prasad Biddappa, said, “It’s my privilege to be a part of the evening which brings together Event and Entertainment industry. Being in midst of so many Industry experts around, interact, exchange Ideas was worth it. I Look forward to more such events which makes me a part of one big happy family which curates amazing events.”

Brain Tellis, the Chief Guest for the evening, said, “I am privileged to be a part of KEMA and it is one of its kind associations which has been doing extremely fabulous as a Team. This team work inspired me to give a talk on how we can grow ourselves in this ever growing Event Industry and a very meaningful panel discussion on magic and value of content. When we come together as a community and actually raise the game.”
