15th Foundation Day Celebrations of EEMA: Reflecting on a Decade and a Half of Excellence

The Event Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), a leading organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the events industry, is proud to celebrate its 15th Foundation Day on July 7 2023, at The Leela Ambience Gurugram. This milestone represents a remarkable occasion for the association, symbolising its reflection on a decade-and-a-half-long journey of success and accomplishment.

EEMA was founded on July 7 2008 and has grown to become a driving force in the events industry, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development within its extensive network of members and partners. With a vision to elevate the standards of event management, wedding management, live events, and technical aspects of events to create memorable experiences, the association has consistently strived to empower event professionals and ensure the success of their endeavours.

Reminiscing about the journey of EEMA, Samit Garg, President, EEMA said, “As we gather to celebrate the foundation day of EEMA, I am reminded of the power that lies within unity and collaboration of all the incredible members of the association who have come together, driven with a purpose to elevate the standards of the event industry. EEMA has laid a foundation that serves as a bedrock for every stakeholder of the event and entertainment industry. We look forward to creating some meaningful stories in the near future.”

The initiative to celebrate the 15th Foundation Day was taken by Team North comprising Vipul Pandhi, Vice President North, EEMA, Ruchin Kohli, Joint Secretary, EEMA North and Venessa Williams, Committee Member, EEMA North. The day served as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the remarkable contributions of individuals and organisations that have played an instrumental role in shaping the industry and the National Executive Committee honoured all the founder members who were present on that significant day.

Speaking about the day Vipul Pandhi, Vice President North, EEMA said, “EEMA’s 15th Foundation Day Celebrations were very special to many of us. The journey over the last 15 years has been full of learning and inspiration. I would like to thank our founder president, Mr Michael Menezes, our founder members and members who have contributed to building EEMA as the apex body of the event management industry in India. As we prepare ourselves for the next 15 years, I believe the best is yet to come.”  

EEMA signed an MOU on a strategic relationship with The Leela Hotels on that day. On signing this MOU the members of EEMA will be entitled to a wide range of facilities and discounts at all Leela properties in the country. EEMA also launched the Professional Event ID (EPID) and the EEMA Recommended Partner (ERP) program at the event.

Speaking about the day and its initiatives, Ruchin Kohli, Joint Secretary, EEMA North said, “This Foundation Day of EEMA promises to be a momentous occasion that celebrates the association's journey, honours its achievements, and sets a bold vision for the future. EEMA has given identity to all the event managers of our country. It is a cumulative effort of all the stakeholders of the event industry to bring it where it stands today. This day serves as a testament to the industry's resilience, creativity, and unwavering spirit.”
