Amplify Times Women's IPL TATA IPL 2023
Amplify Times, a well-known production house and content curation company, organized the entertainment for the first-ever Women's IPL. Additionally, they were responsible for the show direction and entertainment curation of the highly anticipated Tata IPL Closing Ceremony 2023.
The inclusion of Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon, along with singer AP Dhillon, added an extra layer of excitement to the Women's IPL, making it a memorable experience for all.
Held on May 28th-29th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the grand closing ceremony marked the culmination of the 16th Season of the Indian Premier League. The objective was to create a spectacular Mid Innings Show that would captivate the audience and leave a lasting impression.
Independent Indian artists like King, Nucleya, and Divine showcased their talent at the IPL closing ceremony. The ceremony commenced with a Mid Innings Show, featuring a moving graphical 3D Mapping Show and a performance by Divine and Jonita, choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
King, Artist said, "Performing at the IPL Finals was definitely a dream come true. I've grown up with Cricket in my DNA like every other Indian and it makes me extremely proud to have been a part of the biggest celebration of the sport. It's also a big moment as an Independent Artist to have performed to the country at an event of this stature alongside shining stars like Nucleya and Divine. Big ups to BCCI and the organizers Ampliify Times for recognising the true potential of contemporary Indian music and bringing it to the forefront."
Divine, Artist added, "It was a dream come true, to perform at the IPL Mid Inning show. Overall, a good experience working with the teams!"
"I have been Choreographing for close to three decades and there’s hardly anyone I have not worked with, but working for the mid Innings show of IPL was something different. The vision that the entire team had and the passion in each one’s eye was really overwhelming. The entire journey has been so memorable, the sleepless nights of rehearsals, the zeal of pulling everything on the right time stamp, it has truely been a ride! Varun, I must say he carries a great amount of technical expertise and Caje and Anir had the vision to execute things in the larger aspect and I am so glad seeing the outcome. Special thanks to BCCI for their endless support. Lots of love and best wishes to all." commented, Shiamak Davar, choreographer.
Varun Prabhudayal Gupta, Show Director said, "As a show director, working on the closing ceremony of the IPL and having the opportunity to create history is an exhilarating experience like no other. It's a moment when creativity meets grandeur, and the whole world is watching. It's about crafting an experience that transcends the boundaries of sport and connects with people on an emotional level. Witnessing the culmination of our hard work and seeing the joy and excitement on the faces of the players, fans, and millions of viewers is incredibly rewarding. The closing ceremony of the IPL is not just a moment in time; it's a chapter in the legacy of the tournament, and I am honored to be a part of it. Together, we create history and etch memories that will be cherished for years to come from Entertainment curation to having witness the first ever, never happened and the biggest 3d Mapping Anamorphic Show presented by Anir and Cajeton is something which will be an unforgettable journey to remember for rest of our life. I must say as a team what we winessed is incredible."
Cajetan Afonso, Creative Director added, "Through innovative design and the captivating power of optical illusions, we created a new realm of creativity, infusing a flat floor with dimension and giving rise to the largest anamorphic or forced perspective animated showcase in the world."
"Performing at IPL in Ahmedabad was unlike anything I’ve ever done before! It was exhilarating to say the least. The entire act got a really good response from the viewers. Congratulations to team Amplify and Varun for putting together a larger than life mid show ceremony." said Jonita Gandhi, Artist.
Anirbandeep Dutta, Creative Director said, "We wanted to give the audience - both live and television - an experience which they had never had before. Putting live performers into immersive CG environments has never been done before in this scale and that too for a live event. We made the viewers dive into a universe where real and reel mixed up to create sheer magic…and that too without the help of any added device."
