WOW Awards - Asia’s largest business and recognition platform for the Experiential Marketing, MICE, LIVE Entertainment and Wedding industry is all set to host its 14th edition on 13 and 14 July 2023, at JIO World Convention Centre in Mumbai.

With a two-phased judging process by jury members, audited and validated by KPMG, awards will be announced during the glittering ceremony. Each Jury member is selected from complementing backgrounds with extensive experience in the industry to ensure complete transparency in the judging process. Jury members are particularly very knowledgeable and thus have an upper hand in deciding the most deserving winner.

Experiential Tech known as Group C celebrates efforts in production and event technical’s by supplier partners. This category includes only service providers without the inclusion of agencies. Delivery of end-to-end production of an event while overcoming execution challenges and delivery of unique/ highly technical/ superior lighting design solutions at an event is also a part of this category and recognizes the efforts in lighting, trussing, tent solutions, SFX/pyrotechnic, projection mapping, design-construct/fabrication, hospitality/logistic, catering solutions and show running / stage management.

The esteemed Jury of Experiential Tech Group are:

Akshat Kumar, Director, WMS Entertainment

Akshat Kumar was right out of college when, at the age of 21, along with his partner Sharan Behl, he co-founded WMS Entertainment. It started out with a passion for music and a desire to bring top international artists to tour in India. Over the years, WMS has branched out to event production, artist management, and experiential marketing, working with brands like Absolut, Bacardi, Red Bull, Moet Hennessy, Diageo and Budweiser to name a few. The duo have also spearheaded and co-launched (along with Passcode Hospitality) pan-India festivals like India Cocktail Week and TOAST- Wine & Beer Fest. Nurturing a love for gourmet food and hospitality, Akshat is also a partner at restaurants – Saz On The Beach (Morjim, Goa) and Saz Delhi (DLF Promenade, New Delhi).

Ashish Chauhan, Production Manager, Zomato Live

Chauhan’s recent achievement encompasses his efforts during the mighty Pandemic COVID to execute an intra department Pan India activity called “Feeding India” by Zomato, where strategic liaisons were established with NGO’s to deliver meals to the needy on a day to day basis.

Florian Weber- MBA, CEO, Concept Solutions

With his passion for events and music, Florian Weber started his journey early in his youth to manage one of the leading technical event companies and has been developing innovatively designed event solu tions ever since. As the founder and CEO of the Viennese company Concept Solutions, he is organizing the technical support behind events in various dimensions, both nationally in Austria and internationally. With his solid understanding of the event industry, Weber led his team to be one of the most qualified in the field and therefore is also a valued teacher from recognized education centers. 

Nowshir Engineer, Chief Executive Officer, SM Productions

Versatile leader with 20 years of experience across Events, Marketing & Education. Founder of the region’s premier event training institute which trained over 20,000 students across 3 countries for over 13 years. Currently is the CEO of SM Pro - an award winning experiential agency based in Dubai & KSA working with clientele spread across Government departments, Corporate Houses, and the Retail and hospitality sector. Nowshir is also a founding member of the The Event Group Middle East and has been a speaker at various forums, conferences and industry networking events.

Richard Neville, Managing Director, Mandylights

Founder, co-owner and managing director of Mandylights, the Asia Pacific region’s first and largest dedicated lighting and production design firm with offices in Australia and the United Kingdom. 16 year history of corporate, artistic design and project management with successful delivery of major engagements in over sixty five countries across concert touring, public light art and special event markets.

Lighting, production and show design credits including residency and tour designs for artists including Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, Pnau, Good Charlotte, the permanent Vector Lights on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, Ultra Music Festival Miami 15th Anniversary, international tours of the musical Cats, Dubai New Years Eve on the Burj Khalifa and major festival designs for Vivid Sydney, Parrtjima and others around the world. In the corporate world, major credits include auto show stand designs for FCA Chrysler (Detroit) and Tata Motors (Delhi). 

Skilled creative designer with a strong business and entrepreneurial sense leading to the realisation and execution of large scale entertainment projects across multiple disciplines. Committed to education, training and bringing public art to the world.

Shuchir Suri, Founder, Food Talk India

Shuchir Suri has been a major contributor to changing the food and beverage landscape of India.

He co-founded Food Talk India, the country’s first and largest digital food community of half a million food lovers. It has been making waves in the country’s burgeoning food scenario, pioneering a new trend of real time recommendations generated from real food experiences.

Further, he co-founded Gin Explorers Club, an IP of Food Talk India. It is now the largest Cocktail Festival in the country. Through Gin Explorers Club, Shuchir has successfully created a platform for gin, food and music lovers to come together to experience homegrown gins in all their glory.

It doesn’t end there. His interest in the beverage space and his zeal to create clean, better-for-you products for the conscious consumer led him to build Jade Forest, a premium beverage brand that he co-founded in 2019. Jade Forest is now one of the fastest growing beverage brands in India and has raised two rounds of funding till date. 

Charismatic and infamous for his opinions, Shuchir is an aspirational figure and social influencer, followed by over a 100 thousand people.

Sumit Chandhoke, Scxp, Founder

Sumit Chandhoke, a veteran in the space of event management with over 25 years and over 5000 shows under his sleeve, is one of the leading experiential events experts in India. An experience of over two and a half decades has seen him lead and grow various prominent event organizations in the country. His event technology experience curations in India and across the world in cities like Budapest, Bueno Aires, Dubai, Macau and Rome have won him many industry awards and accolades. A stickler for perfection and a passionate experiential technology enthusiast, he has an eye for detailing and a flair for creating visual impacts.

Vincent Samuel, Managing Partner, Greenstone Entertainment

Vincent has 27 years expertise in Production Management of Live Entertainment, producing some of the biggest Live Concerts, Music Festivals, Sporting Leagues and Corporate Events. 

He is passionate, a constant learner and keeps a high standard of honesty and integrity in every approach. He has a proven track record of executing world class standards at every Live Event Productions.
