EEMA North Executive Committee unveils promising initiatives for Events Industry

The Event and Entertainment Management Association's (EEMA) North Members recently gathered at The Leela Palace, New Delhi for ‘Kick-Off 2023’, sharing the roadmap of the events industry for the coming months and announcing several new initiatives.
The 1st North Zone meeting of members in year 2023 was attended by over 100+ Members over a Networking Dinner.
Samit Garg, President, EEMA said, "The events industry is on the cusp of an exciting new era, and the next five years will be a transformative period that will reshape the industry for years to come. We are optimistic about the future and believe that the opportunities for growth and innovation have never been greater."
The formation of the Hotel Advisory Committee was the key highlight of the evening as it represents a significant step towards improving collaboration and communication between hotels and event planners. The committee will work towards creating better synergy between the two stakeholders, identifying common challenges, and developing best practices that can be shared with all hotels and event planners.

Recently joined members with Samit Garg - President EEMA, Vipul Pandhi - VP North India, Ankur Kalra - Treasurer, Ruchin Kohli - Joint Secretary North, Vanessa Williams Committee Member - North Zone, KJS Gurna – Ex. Treasurer – EEMA.
Education committee comprising of senior faculty members from some of the most respected institutes teaching event management was formed to bridge the gap between industry and institutes teaching event management. The committee will work towards raising the level of course content, sharing industry expectation with faculty members teaching event management and building a pipeline to source and induct new talent for our member agencies.
Another game changing initiative announced that will really upscale the industry to new heights was the formation of a Technical Certification body in conjunction with AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) for training and certifying event professionals. Mr. Ruchin Kohli, Joint Secretary, North India, mentioned about the utmost need of this step and how EEMA made a prompt effort to execute it on priority.
Mr. Ankur Kalra, Treasurer, EEMA, took charge of creating a standard operating protocol for all the policies related to event management, this would help agencies a ready reckoner, helping them to focus on the core while fulfilling all the compliances.
Vipul Pandhi, VP North India said, "These initiatives will help shape the future of the events industry and ensure that we are equipped to meet the challenges ahead. We are committed to working together with all stakeholders to create a sustainable and vibrant industry. He also invited agencies and individuals to come forward and create Intellectual Properties that can contribute to the growth of the industry, and extended EEMA's support in making these initiatives successful."
