Indo-Russian Travel & Tourism Fair to promote the tourist potentials before the Russian team

Indo-Russian Travel and Tourism fair Thiruvanthapuram Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation
The two-day Indo-Russian travel and tourism fair begins in the city of Kerela in Thiruvanthapuram, on November 30. The fair is being organised by the tourism department in association with the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Thiruvananthapuram.
Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas inaugurated the fair at Udaya Palace Convention centre.
The idea of this fair is to create a platform for B2B discussions for the sellers operating in the hotel, resort, ayurveda, house boat and tour operator sectors and buyers from Russia.
Ratheesh C Nair, Director, Russian House, “There has been a dip in the number of Russian tourists travelling to the country in the wake of the pandemic and the Ukraine crisis. Hence, the fair is intended to showcase and promote the tourist potentials of the state before the Russian team.”
P.B Nooh, Director, Kerala tourism said, “Goa has beaches, but Kerala has beaches too, and we also have Ayurveda & backwaters (a network of brackish lagoons and canals lying parallel to the Arabian Sea of the Malabar coast).”
He further added, “Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine that has a centuries-old history in India. While the services are offered in different parts of India, Kerala Portrays itself as the centre of Ayurveda."
The fair will open for the general public on December 1.
