Mahindra Tech Fashion Week Rimzim Dadu Pratap Bose

Fashion designer Rimzim Dadu in collaboration with Pratap Bose curated a special edition of Mahindra Motor’s XUV-400 Electric Vehicle by hosting a tech fashion show. The vehicle which was jointly designed by Dadu and Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer was unveiled on November 28 at the Mahindra Tech Fashion Week hosted by Exhibit India magazine.

The collaboration was also an extension of Rimzim’s belief in bringing different art forms together for distinct projects. After her collaboration with Kiran Nadar Museum of Arts (KNMA) to celebrate her brand’s 15th anniversary in August, this collaboration was a step forward in her endeavour to work with artists and creative geniuses from varied fields.

Speaking about the event, Rimzim Dadu said, “The Rimzim Dadu Signature Blue car takes inspiration from my textiles and comes loaded with our signature design elements. It’s been such an honour to work with legendary automotive designer Pratap Bose and India’s favourite homegrown brand - Mahindra Autos to work on their first electric SUV.  As a brand we believe in striving to work towards a sustainable future and electric cars are definitely a step towards that”

Pratap Bose, Chief Design Officer, Mahindra Group said, “We are incredibly proud of the work we have created in collaboration with Rimzim Dadu. She is a creative visionary that all of us here at Mahindra hugely admire. Between the innovations possible within the Mahindra teams and Rimzim’s unique capacity, the opportunity was to redefine what a fashion and automotive collaboration could look like. The special edition XUV400 by Rimzim Dadu exemplifies the symbiosis between innovative design and ultimate craftsmanship.”

Ananya Panday walked as a muse for the couturier in a very special bespoke creation. The dress was inspired by Mahindra's twin peaks logo and it incorporated Rimzim's design aesthetic in a signature technique's co-ord work and it truly represented a collaboration between fashion and Mahindra automobiles.
