'Goa Village' to showcase local art and culture at Sunburn Festival 2022

Percept Live, creators of Sunburn, in association with the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, have officially announced the inception of ‘Goa Village’ – a special Cultural Zone that will be created at the 16th edition of Sunburn Festival Goa scheduled from 28th to 30th December, 2022 at Vagator, Goa. This zone will be dedicated to showcasing and promoting the vibrant Art, Culture, Cuisine and Lifestyle of Goa from locally established and upcoming Talents.
The promoters took to social media to reveal the announcement that will not only showcase the diverse elements that make for the vibrant and rich Art, F&B and Culture of the State of Goa but also enable established and upcoming talent residing in Goa to showcase and promote their talent at an international music platform during the peak tourist season of the State.
Sunburn has joined hands with the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa to invite all Goans to participate in the creation of the all-new ‘Goa Village'. The aim of the endeavor is to showcase to the world the vast and incredible history and culture that defines the quintessential essence of Goa. Sunburn has invited both recognized and upcoming talent residing in Goa to co-create the ‘Goa Village’ by contributing their unique talent to display the unique flavors of Goa. The invite extends into multiple domains spanning Music including DJs, Bands and Singers, Dancers, Ancillary Performers, Variety of Entertainers, Chefs, Mixologists, Artists and Designers.
Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Goa said, “This is a very good initiative from Sunburn and I am sure the Goa Village at Sunburn will accurately showcase the varied and rich Goan culture to the entire world at such a big international platform. Local Goans need a platform to perform and display their talent on stage. I am sure that visitors to Sunburn will also learn about and enjoy the vast art and culture that Goa has to offer.”
Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn said, “Given the close relationship Sunburn has shared with Goa over the past 16 years, the announcement of the ‘Goa Village’ is our way of paying back and thanking the beautiful destination of Goa and its people for all their love and support they have given us into making Sunburn the global iconic success that it is today. With an underlying theme of ‘The Future Is Now’, Sunburn Festival Goa 2022 will showcase a three-day live event imbibing the best of electronic dance music, state-of-the-art technology and high-octane entertainment. The festival will also have a specially curated F&B Village, a Flea Market and a range of activities including a Sunset Point, an Open Air Cinema, Bungee Jumping, Zip Line, Ferris Wheel, and several other games and engagements. The festival will also host multiple After-Parties with International and Indian acts. This year will also have an Opening Party on 27th December, and a Closing Party on New Year’s Eve.
