Madhya Pradesh to Host the 5th Edtion of Khelo India Youth Games in 2023

Anurag Thakur, the sports minister has announced that the fifth Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) will take place in Madhya Pradesh (MP) in eight cities from January 31 to February 11.

The announcement was made in the presence of the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Nisith Pramanik, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Secretary Sports, Sujata Chaturvedi, Director General, Sports Authority of India, Sandip Pradhan, and other dignitaries from the Union Sports Ministry and the Sports Authority of India.

The action will unfold in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Khargone (Maheshwar) and Balaghat while Delhi will host cycling events. The Games will feature a total of 27 disciplines, including rowing, canoeing, canoe slalom, and kayaking, which will make an entry for the first time.
