DDCA MyySports sports-tech start-up
Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has taken steps toward digitizing grassroots cricket and creating avenues for upcoming cricketing talent in the NCT of Delhi. DDCA has collaborated with MyySports, a sports-tech start-up that enables users to create, score, archive and live stream domestic/ league matches.
DDCA’s properties like the Hot Weather Tournament, Challenger Trophy, U-16 and U-19 League are being scored and livestreamed on the MyySports App. This initiative has given players the opportunity to showcase their talent and get discovered.
Rohan Jaitley, President, DDCA, said, “Digitization and data collection is the key for trainers, coaches, professionals, to counsel, guide and mentor their players for correction of stances and actions during the game. In fact, the new trend over the past few years is that we have technical experts reviewing performance and actual game data and giving presentation to bowlers and batsmen on degree corrections and stance correction. Digitization does play an important role in the advancement of the game”
Siddharth Sahib Singh, Secretary, DDCA, said, “The idea to have these kinds of leagues is to have a fair trial for the upcoming season and we have around 111 affiliated clubs with the DDCA and my message to all the participants, players is to give your best. This is the platform where you can perform and then you can assure yourself to be in the mix of things and this is a very important step to elevate grassroot cricket of DDCA.”
