The event was hosted by the More Than Food Campaign Ambassador Chef Ajay Chopra in the presence of Maria Fladl, Trade Counsellor in the Delegation of the EU in Delhi. The theme of the evening was ‘A Trip To Europe In Every Bite’ where the guests got to understand and experience the taste of the EU’s Member States through a variety of olive oils from Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal.

Maria Fladl opened the evening with an introduction to the More Than Food campaign and a brief about different products, followed by Chef Ajay Chopra who explained with the help of a presentation to the audience the different olive oils, the production process behind it and aspects of their quality, authenticity, safety, and sustainability. He further spoke about the different kinds of food pairings and his personal experience with different kind of olive oils. The presentation ended with an informative video on olive oil.

Chef Ajay Chopra, Campaign Ambassador, More Than Food India said, “I am glad to be a part of the More Than Food campaign, it has been an amazing journey so far. As the campaign ambassador, I have had the opportunity to be a part of extremely interesting activities like the Virtual Tasting Dinner and of course the Olive Oil Food Lab. It has been great to see people getting curious to learn more about the different products from the EU. Being a connoisseur of European produce myself, I make sure only quality ingredients are served to my consumers and what better than using oils from countries like Portugal and Spain, which are safe and healthy to consume while keeping their authenticity intact.”

The event saw participation from people across sectors like Horeca, importers & retailers, media and the food influencer community.
