Industry Looks to April 2022 for Return of ‘Normal’ Physical Events

EVENTFAQS Media reached out to stakeholders to understand when they expect a return to ‘normal’ physical events and their ‘highest high’ and ‘lowest low’ of 2021.

Arguably, the best high of 2021 for anyone would be friends and family coming out of the pandemic safely.

The low is obviously the new wave, which kicked in right when the industry was hoping for things to get back to normal.

 I am hoping that everyone including children are able to get vaccinated and boosted before the year gets over, so that our industry can safely come back and overall things can become a bit predictable.

Highest point of 2021 was resumption of events /activation from July onwards, wth clients ploughing monies and keeping faith in the overall experiential industry.

Lowest point was business coming to standstill from April to June and with no revenues .

Normal physical events should be back by April 2022, initially with restricted capacity, and fully by June.

Highest high was when we did an offsite for 125 people in Goa at the Radisson White Sands in November.

Lowest low was more or less the period before when we were itching for live events to come back but corporate India was still scared and rightly so.

I hope in-person events come back at the soonest, like tomorrow, but I know that the first quarter for sure has gone and we can just keep our fingers crossed from April 2022.
