MEET at EP Retreat 2021 Dubai to Spotlight India-ME Collaborations and Opportunities

Representatives of India’s Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) and the International Live Events Association - Middle East (ILEA - ME), both supporting associations of the Experiential Planner Retreat (EP Retreat) that kicks off on 24 October 2021 in Dubai, will take stage at a Middle East Event Tourism (MEET) forum from 12.45 to 3.45 pm (IST) on Monday, 25 October 2021.   

The third and final segment of the forum will feature a panel discussion on ‘India + Middle East Collaborations and Opportunities’. Speakers for this are Roshan Abbas, President of EEMA, MD of VMLYR Commerce and Founder of Kommune; Khalid Al Hammadi, President of ILEA – ME, VP – Event Services, DWTC; Brian Tellis, Past President of EEMA and Co-founder, Fountainhead; Paul Berger, CEO, Arena Group EMEA and President ILEA – ME; and Samit Garg, CEO and Co-Founder, E-Factor Entertainment.  

EP Retreat is an initiative of tmf dialogue marketing for which delegates from the Indian event industry are currently in Dubai. It will run from 24 to 27 October alongside the ongoing Dubai Expo2020. Eventfaqs Media is a partner to EP Retreat 2021, organised in association with WOW Awards.

Future of Business Events

Preceding this cross-border event industry associations panel will be a session on ‘The Future of Business Events’. Delivering the keynote on ‘Positive Impact in Stakeholder Engagement Strategy’ will be  Ajay Khanna, CEO and Country Director, Herbalife India.

A panel that follows his talk will delve into ‘Evolution and Opportunities for Business Events’ featuring Gurpreet Singh, Head of Marketing, United Breweries; Rahul Dutta, Director Marketing, Microsoft India; and Oum Pradutt, Founder and Managing Director, Phase 1 Events & Entertainment.

Middle East’s Event Tourism Economy 

MEET at EP Retreat will open with a conversation with Steen Jakobsen, Assistant VP, Dubai Business Events, on the strategy and support towards M.I.C.E. and destination events. 

This will be followed by insights into ‘Saudi’s New Event Calendars - Opportunities in the Newest Tourist Destination of the Middle East’ from Augustus Simon, International Markets Advisor, Saudi Tourism Authority. 

This edition of EP Retreat, an initiative of tmf for which delegates from the Indian event industry are currently in Dubai, kicks off on 24 October alongside the ongoing Dubai Expo2020.
