Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is back in the promos to announce the return of the Vivo IPL 2021, which was postponed midway in April.
The tournament, which started off in India on 9 April was to be hosted across six cities, before culminating in a final on 30 May. The remaining 31 matches of the tournament will now culminate in a final on 15 October.
In the latest promo for official broadcaster Star Sports and OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar, Dhoni spells out what’s in store after the ‘interval’ in a colourful, filmy avatar.
His promise to fans is: #AsliPictureAbhiBaakiHai.

The tournament will be played across four venues in the UAE: Dubai International Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai Sports City.
The season which began on 9 April in India was called off in early May as several players and staff tested positive for Covid19. The remaining matches will be hosted in the UAE.
