Bacardí has announced the latest edition of its Caribbean-themed music festival, Casa Bacardí. The festival slated for 20 August 2021 promises to give consumers a complete sensory experience with elements like sound and taste.

Attendees can create their own digital avatars and ‘experience’ all things Caribbean while expressing themselves, informed an official statement. 

Launched in 2019, Casa Bacardí was hosted virtually in 2020 with over 4,000 people in attendance. This year, the brand’s flagship Caribbean party will be hosted on Sansar.

The artiste line-up includes Tesher, Divine and the Gully Gang, MC Altaf, Tsumyoki, MadStarBase, Sango, Gauri Who and Natasha Diggs. Madstarbase and Sango will perform at the after-party.

Layal Baaklini, Global Disruptive Innovation Director, Bacardí, said, “Our purpose at Bacardi is to celebrate moments that matter, one drink at a time. Now, more than ever, moments of connection are no longer determined by physical proximities. The pandemic accelerated the growth of emerging virtual spaces and we wanted to embrace virtual worlds where experience-lovers in India can enjoy music together, socialise with their friends and express themselves through their unique avatars.”

This past year, we’ve invested behind understanding the changing consumer preferences, bringing events and celebrations through the most preferred, comfortable, and safest mediums. Now we are taking another leap by introducing an all-new virtual world, along with our partners at Sansar and OML.”

Tanmay Bhatt, who will host the virtual festival, said, “It’s a new and unique format, bringing avenues to do what moves us in the most amazing, engaging ways while experiencing the Caribbean. Looking forward to this virtual getaway!”

With elements like photo booths, games, customisable cocktails, and mobile and in-world chat, the brand’s stated aim is to bring evolved experiences to people and indulge them in socialising from the comfort of their homes.
