#IndiaUnlocks: Pragati Maidan Gets Permission to Host B2B Trade Fairs and Exhibitions

Delhi Disaster Management Authority India Trade Promotion Organisation Casual Performance Licence Pragati Maidan, New Delhi
KS Meena, IAS, Special CEO, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), wrote to LC Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) on 16 July 2021, granting permission for Delhi’s Pragati Maidan to host B2B Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.
The permit is released as a special case, which will be subject to strict compliance of guidelines issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
Surinder Kumar, Senior Manager, India Trade Promotion Organisation, on 19 July 2021 wrote to the Office of Joint Commissioner of Police, to entertain requests of organisers for grant of Casual Performance Licence (CPL) to hold B2B Trade Fairs and Exhibitions at Pragati Maidan.
Several exhibitions and trade fairs scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan in 2021 have been postponed due to the uncertainty around the Covid19 second wave.
The permit was released as a special case, subject to strict compliance of guidelines issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
