As India fought the second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic, several States were in the news for the wrong reasons at different points in time. Bihar was amongst them.

Khurshid Ahmad, Founder and CEO of Advantage Group and EEMA Platinum member since inception, initiated ‘Advantage Support’, a CSR initiative in Bihar built on three Cs: Care, Concern and Contribute.

Working with multiple partners, Advantage Group was instrumental in distribution of oxygen cylinders and concentrators, free ambulance service and free vaccination,  among other relief measures.

With the help of government and district administrations, the group provided oxygen cylinders to Asian Hospital in Patna and Paras Global Hospital in Darbhanga. The free ambulance service initiated on 10 May 2021 is continuing operations till date.

With the help of Principal Health Secretary Paratyaya Amrit and Dr Rana NK Singh, Vaccination In-charge, Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), the group has helped around 100 people in Patna to get vaccinated.

Advantage also associated with Goonj Foundation for providing food and education to orphaned children with donations. Further, they opened a 30-bed non-profit hospital in Araria in collaboration with Humanitarian Aid International (HAI) Foundation.

Speaking about the relief work during the pandemic, Ahmad said, “We are also developing an app on health for the benefit of the Covid19 patients and general patients. In this app we will provide all necessary information regarding hospitals, ambulances, lab tests, availability of oxygen and more.”

He explained that the group recently adopted a village in Madhubani, providing them with oxygen concentrators of 5 litres, 250 bags of food, 250 masks and 25 packets of medicines.

Team Advantage is also conducting an Advantage CARE Dialogue Series with several eminent personalities on various topics to create Covid19 awareness.

According to Ahmad, the team’s biggest purpose is to serve humanity and save lives. On that count, there’s a lot of work yet to be done.

Founder and CEO of Advantage Group reveals that an app is being created to offer information regarding hospitals, ambulances, lab tests, availability of oxygen and more.
