The inaugural edition of EVENTFAQS Mettle Awards was announced in early 2021 to honour exemplary achievements by those in events and experiential marketing in 2020, the first year of the Covid19-induced lockdown.
Sunfeast India Run As One by Procam International has been nominated in the category of Mettle - Virtual Event.
Procam International’s virtual initiative conceptualised with Give India invited participants to register and run, walk or move on a wheelchair on Independence Day 2020, urging the community to cover 4 lakh kms, or twice the distance from Ladakh to Kanyakumari. The call was for fellow Indians across the world to help fund relief work for those hit by the Covid19 pandemic. Amplified by media partnerships, Sunfeast India Run As One raised Rs.1.43 cr, with a minimum of Rs.99 per registration.
The Mettle Awards ceremony, which was repeatedly postponed due to the pandemic, stands cancelled and organisers have decided to refrain from announcing winners, deeming such a celebration inappropriate in the current times.
