Twitter has opened up Spaces, its live audio chat rooms feature, to all users with over 600 followers. This follows over a month of testing.
The company also revealed a slew of upcoming features including Ticketed Spaces, which will allow hosts to sell tickets with a revenue share for Twitter. The date of launch for this feature is not known, while the company said testing would follow in the coming months.
Spaces is accessible via both iOS and Android. Twitter users who start speaking in a Space will see a purple bubble appear on their timeline. Other users can listen and react with emojis or tweets or direct message the Space and request to speak. The host can tweet the Space and turn on captions so people can follow.
Twitter hosted a Spaces session to roll out the update and guide brands on how to use it.
The micro-blogging site said that all users with over 600 followers can host audio chat rooms following testing for over a month.
