McDonald’s Singapore Bridges Malaysians with Families for Ramadan at ‘My Happy Table’

Industry Watch | April 30, 2021 | News

Ramadan is a time when families are seated together to break their fast. This year, many Malaysians working in Singapore were unable to do so as the borders were shut in February owing to the return of the Covid19 pandemic.

McDonald’s Singapore created a hybrid activation to unite these workers with their families via ‘My Happy Table’.

Those interested needed to enter a contest on Facebook and tell the brand who they were missing being with this festive season. Those selected would then have their family members visit select outlets at designated times and meet for a meal virtually between 23 and 28 April 2021.

As a number of workers are unable to join their families back after borders were shut in February, the virtual activation unites them at restaurants.
