Dentsu India Announces Top Level Changes, Divya Karani Named Media CEO

Media and marketing communications major Dentsu International has announced new roles for its leaders Kartik Iyer and Divya Karani from the India team.
Kartik Iyer, erstwhile President – Media Brands and Amplifi, will now be in charge of the network’s market leadership team as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will continue to report to Anand Bhadkamkar, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network. He will be instrumental in driving the implementation of Dentsu’s new business model within the country by engaging with regional and global teams and other network brands, informed an official statement.
Divya Karani, CEO at dentsu X India, will now take on the role of Chief Executive Officer for Media, South Asia. Here, media includes the agencies dentsu X, Carat, iProspect and Posterscope. In this additional role, Divya will be responsible for driving the global media strategy and delivery in South Asia, ensuring its alignment and relevance to the market. Divya will also continue to report to Anand Bhadkamkar.

Haresh Nayak will continue to serve as COO for dentsu Media in India in addition to his other current roles as president, Posterscope Asia Pacific and MD, Posterscope India. Rubeena Singh will now take charge of the recently rebranded iProspect. Anita Kotwani will continue to lead the Carat brand for India.
Besides densu X, she will now also be in charge of Carat, iProspect and Posterscope; Kartik Iyer named group COO.
