EEMA COVID-19

The Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) has initiated a plasma donation drive among those who have recovered from the Covid19 disease, to help others battling it.

Through the initiative, EEMA is urging its members and the 10 million (est.) members of the event fraternity in India to come forward as one and donate plasma to save lives. Plasma donors aged 18 to 65 years are invited to register at https://bit.ly/PlasmaSavesLife. The web page also lists other eligibility criteria for donors.

Addressing the  information gap and anxiety among people, the association had earlier set up helplines in the north, east, west regions of the country to enable informed guidance, doctor consultation, connect for hospital beds, information about medicines and home set-ups.

EEMA soon intends to virtually stream doctor consultations and expert opinions, to stop people from panicking and help avoid hospitalisation.

The association has roped in a panel of doctors to guide patients including Dr. Naseem Padaria (Mumbai), Dr. Navneet Singh (Delhi) and Dr. Ashok Taneja (Delhi).

In a video message urging EEMA  members to donate plasma, Dr Padaria reveals that she has been associated with the Mumbai Dhadkan initiative for plasma donation for over a year now.

A large team comprising EEMA’s office bearers, national executive council members and members of zonal teams are credited with driving these Covid19-related initiatives. They include: Aarti Mattoo, Amanveer Singh, Amit Gupta, Ashish Mattoo, Deepak Pawar, KJ Gurna, Karishma Joshi, Neelabh Kapoor, Nimit Anand, Mandeep Malhotra, Martin Emmanuel, Ojas Saxena, Pawan Bansal, Poonam Lal, Prerana Saxena, Rahul Gomes, Raju Kannampuzha, Ruchin Kohli, Sanjoy Roy, Shivani Sen, Shreya Mistry, Sidhesh Kandiyil, Sree Sailam, Vandana Mohan, Vanessa Williams, Vijay Arora, Vijay Bokadia, DV Vinod, Vinod Janardhan and Vipul Pandhi.

Building on the helplines it set up earlier, the association will soon start streaming doctor consultations and expert opinions, to stop people from panicking and help avoid hospitalisation.
