Entertainment Society of Goa Goa Anti-Tobacco Ad Film Fest
Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) in association with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Goa Dental College and Hospital, is organizing the 4th Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival on 31 May 2021.
The aim of the festival is to select ad films to spread the message of harmful effects of tobacco use and to promote film art through non-profit screening of these films. This festival will be held in two sections: Goan and National. The theme for the festival is ‘Commit to Quit’.
To compete in the Goan section, ad films should be in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi or English and should be produced by Goan producers/production house, Goan individuals, students studying in Goa and educational and social institutions.
Ad films in the national section should be in Hindi or English and should be produced by an Indian producer/ production house, individuals/students and educational and social institutions from India.
For both the categorie, the entered film should not be more than two minutes long and should carry English subtitles.
Eligible persons need to register themselves by filling a registration form by 19 April 2021. The entry form and rules and regulations are available on the official website of Entertainment Society of Goa and International Film Festival of India.
The last date for receipt of film entries along with supporting documents is 17 May 2021. A selection committee comprised of not more than five members will judge entries.
The first prize for the Goan section is Rs. 50,000, second prize is Rs. 30,000 and a third prize winner will take home Rs. 20,000. Corresponding cash prizes for the national section are Rs. 1,00,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively.
The award winning ad films will be used for promotions of ad campaigns of anti-tobacco across cinema theatres/TV channels, schools, colleges and other government department programmes and on the internet, informed an official statement.
Contest in Goan and national sections inviting ad films of less than two minutes with winners getting cash prizes. Last date to register is 19 April.
