With the ban of international flights to India due to the pandemic, Eventus International, organiser of the SPiCE India gaming conference, has announced that the third edition of the event will now be hosted from 16 to 18  June at Goa Marriott Resort & Spa.

The three-day SPiCE (Strategic Platform for iGaming Conference & Exhibition) was originally scheduled to be hosted in 2020, and the last announced dates were 23 to 25 March 2021.

Instead, on 23 March, organisers put together a SPiCE India virtual conference to give attendees a sneak-peek of the developments and what can be expected at the physical event.

SPiCE India 2021 will focus on how companies can maximise their growth potential, explore the innovations and advances made by the industry and take stock of the rapidly changing regulatory landscape as well as the challenges and opportunities in the industry, according to organisers.

Among other things, the event will see pre and post-event parties and a curated poker tournament for attendees.

Yudi Soetjiptadi, Managing Director, Eventus International, said, “We have been looking forward to hosting the third edition of SPiCE India since 2020. However, the pandemic and the extension of lockdown in India made it impossible. Postponing the event was not an easy decision, but the safety of our participants is and will always remain the most important.”

“The virtual conference on 23rd March reminded us of the importance of coming together and discussing developments and opportunities in the Indian gaming sector. We are now looking forward to welcoming new and existing participants to the third annual SPiCE India in June 2021!” he added.

Jay Sayta, Strategic Advisor to SPiCE and gaming industry analyst, said, "SPiCE Virtual 2021 was a great success and saw active participation from a large number of attendees and engaging discussions on numerous topics of importance to the industry. I am confident that the physical event of SPiCE 2021 from 16 to 18 June will be a success and see participation from the who's who of the Indian gaming industry. I look forward to attending SPiCE 2021."

Eventus International will follow strict safety and social distancing measures during the exhibition, conference and networking events, informed an official statement.

The three-day event by Eventus International in Goa was originally scheduled for 2020; organisers host virtual conference on 23 March.
