Maharashtra Tourism Amateur Videography Contest

Maharashtra Tourism has announced an open-to-all contest ‘Amateur Videography’ for the best videos of destinations across the State. The contest was announced on January 15, 2021 and submission of entries will be allowed up to February 15, 2021.

As Maharashtra is home to some of the most magnificent forts, caves, beaches, religious places, heritage buildings and wildlife sanctuaries, Maharashtra Tourism aims to promote these destinations as a part of their heritage and encourage visitors and tourists to visit them.

Anybody from an amateur, a hobbyist, an aspiring videographer to a professional, irrespective of age or geographical location, can participate in the contest. Participants can choose any theme: forts, caves, wildlife, beaches, major religious places, heritage structures or unique things.  

The video selection process will be carried out by the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, and the shortlisted videos will be uploaded on the Maharashtra Tourism social media pages and website and also used for promotional events.

An amount of Rs 2,000 will be given to selected participants and appreciation certificates will be issued to all the shortlisted participants.

The video contest format, evaluation criteria, submission process and official contest rules and regulations can be viewed on Maharashtra Tourism’s official website, www.maharashtratourism.gov.in.

 

With the contest, Maharashtra Tourism aims to promote destinations as a part of the State’s heritage and encourage visitors and tourists to visit them.
