The Quorum The Business Quarter (TBQ) The Blackstone Group One World Center
After opening its flagship club in Gurgaon in 2018, The Quorum has announced the launch of its second lifestyle club in Mumbai in April, 2021. The launch of the Mumbai club marks the start of The Quorum’s expansion plans in the country.
The Quorum will open its doors in Lower Parel’s One World Center, owned by Nucleus Office Parks, a subsidiary of The Blackstone Group, spanning two floors, within 56,000 sq. ft. of space.
The Quorum Gurgaon has hosted over 300 events since its launch and the Mumbai club too is expected to host high quality events with a programming calendar across the spectrum of art, fashion, literature, tech, business, current affairs and more. It will have the option to host both corporate events and social soirees across its spaces. These will also be available for private hire.
Conceptualised by Founder and CEO Vivek Narain and Co-Founder and Creative Director Sonya Jehan, The Quorum’s launch in Mumbai aims to extend its unique blend of hospitality and philosophy of being community-led, content-driven, design-focused and experiential, to a discerning Mumbai audience.
“A private club like The Quorum has been designed as the ‘quintessential third space’ – a home away from home, a place of work away from the office. In a time of continuing uncertainty, The Quorum has a unique social contract with its members, providing a predictable and safer space be it for business or for leisure,” said Narain.
Promoting the work-from-anywhere model
Specific to Mumbai, The Quorum will also introduce The Business Quarter (TBQ), collocated to the club facilities. TBQ will not only offer multiple spaces for work and collaboration but also bring in upscale co-working facilities designed to accommodate both individuals and organizations as the world transitions from work from home to a work-from-anywhere model.
There will be a Food and Beverage programme led by Sonya Jehan and Chef Pranay Kumar Singh, which will explore flavours from across the globe using locally-sourced ingredients. The club will have Café Reed, open to non-members as well, to eat, shop, socialise and experience. There will be an art programme with Artery India, an art intelligence and asset advisory firm, that will be on display and available for purchase around The Quorum.
