Wizcraft MIME Partners Jagran to Launch BA and MA Programmes in Entertainment and Event Management

Wizcraft MIME has announced its partnership with Jagran Lakecity University (JLU), a leading university of central India, to launch an event management education programme. The launch event also celebrated the 101st birth anniversary of Late Shri Gurudev Gupta, noted freedom-fighter, journalist, parliamentarian and founder of Dainik Jagran. The event was held in the university’s state-of-the-art Bhopal campus.
With this programme, Wizcraft aims to develop an experientially driven entertainment and events-centric curriculum, with students, getting the opportunity to gain practical experience, working on flagship properties such as IIFA, GiMA, Guild Awards and Olympics, amongst others.
Speaking at the launch event, Sabbas Joseph, Co-Founder and Director, Wizcraft International Entertainment said, “Wizcraft is now focused on developing the next generation of event industry specialists, helping educate the next-Gen to develop skills that the earlier generation only learnt through on-the-job project work. We hope to take this vision, that is driven by Wizcraft MIME, to a new level and I am excited to partner with Jagran Lakecity University, which has already carved a niche for itself in India, with an excellent track record of academic innovation and practice-based pedagogy. It would be a unique educational and practice school, which will bring the best of the world of entertainment and events to India.”

Later, keynote speaker at the event, film-maker Subhas Ghai congratulated JLU and Wizcraft for coming together to set up a much-needed university-led degree programme and a dedicated school for entertainment and events. While Ghai joined the session virtually from Mumbai, Sabbas Joseph, Sushma Gaikwad, Co-Founder Wizcraft MIME, and Gitikka Ganju Dhar, anchor and actor, were present at the JLU campus.
