#KhulkeBoloThankYou: Activation Sees Burj Khalifa Light Up to Thank Retail Employees for their Work

Last weekend, the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai was lit up as part of a campaign - #KhulkeBoloThankYou - to thank retail employees for their service all through the year, despite the global pandemic. In a beautiful activation, the Dubai Mall executed an LED show at Burj Khalifa to thank retail employees and Emaar front-liners for always being there for people even in tough times.
The #KhulkeBoloThankYou campaign was launched by the Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) and Retailers Association of India (RAI) to mark the Retail Employees Day celebrated on December 12. It aims to spread awareness about retail employees’ role and contribution in people’s lives, with the goal of gathering one million ‘Thank You’s through the campaign. TRRAIN and RAI also plan to empower frontline warriors from the retail fraternity across the globe and in India, who assist people with their everyday needs.
The campaign launched with a digital film that showcases people from all walks of life in dialogue with their retail associates/employees. Conceptualized by Contract Advertising, the film encourages people to add two words to their shopping list on Retail Employees Day – ‘Thank You’ signified by the ‘hand-on-heart’ logo.
