OkCredit, a free digital ledger app for businesses and shop-owners, has launched ‘OkShop-AapkiApni Online Shop’ that allows small businesses to set up their online presence in two steps. OkCredit aims to help small businesses grow and empower them digitally.
OkShophas launched a campaign #ChanderikiDiwali, with a vision to get onboard more than 3000+ looms, and around 6000+ weavers from the Chandericraftsmen community, who are working to propagate the culture and struggling to create a sustainable business, post-pandemic.
The campaign opens opportunities for the weavers to reach their potential consumers directly while providing incentives to increase their sales and gain higher visibility of their products across India. OkCredit has also launched a website for weavers to add their products and for customers to buy directly.
The Chanderi society is one of the initial 100% free wi-fi communities that enable weavers to innovate and contribute to the digital economy of India.
Harsh Pokharna, Co-founder & CEO, OkCredit said, “As Prime Minister Narendra Modi rightly says, these tough times have truly made us realize the significance of all local shops and businesses in our country, and we must take it upon ourselves to enable them to have a voice in the Indian digital economy. OkShop provides a platform to digitally empower them, and the Diwali campaign this year depicts gratitude and appreciation for the small merchants for their selfless support extended during this challenging situation. We hope we’re able to make a difference in the Chanderi society.”
