Oxfam Trailwalker Goes Virtual with ‘Walk in Solidarity’ Walkathon Challenge from November 20 to 29

Oxfam Trailwalker, the annual global fund-raiser by Oxfam, a confederation of 20 independent charitable organizations focusing on the alleviation of poverty, has announced a virtual trailwalker challenge from November 20 to November 29, 2020. Participants in the activity will walk for 50 km or 100km within or around the confines of their homes or outdoors over a span of 10 days, complying with the prevalent social distancing norms.
The theme of this year’s walkathon is ‘Walk in Solidarity’ to end discrimination. An e-certificate will be awarded to each participant by the end of the challenge. Anyone can join the walkathon challenge by registering on the official website of Oxfam India and the registration fees will be treated as donation towards Oxfam India.
The funds collected from the walkathon will support Oxfam India to help the most vulnerable to get their lives back on track and participants will gain not just the satisfaction to stay fit, but also to help the poor.
The theme of this year’s walkathon ‘Walk in Solidarity’ aims to end discrimination; e-certificate will be awarded to participants at end of the challenge.
