Popular FMCG brand Dabur, in partnership with CRPF, undertook a social initiative across seven cities on the occasion of Global Hand Washing Day, which is celebrated every year on October 15.

As a part of the initiative, Dabur launched a campaign to distribute Dabur Sanitize Germ Protection soaps among the frontline workers including CRPF, police, doctors, nurses and support staff in select cities.

The initiative created awareness about the importance of washing hands regularly, with a threat like COVID-19, along with thanking the frontline workers for their dedicated service to the nation.

Ajay Singh Parihar, Senior General Manager-Marketing, Dabur India Ltd, said, “Frontline workers like CRPF personnel and police, as well as health workers, have been working tirelessly to keep us all protected from this pandemic. At Dabur, we have pledged our support to fight this pandemic. As part of this commitment, we are supporting the frontline bravehearts with our Dabur Sanitize Germ Protection Soap, which provide hygiene to corona warriors during these challenging times. More than 2.85 lakh Dabur Sanitize Germ Protection soaps will be distributed to CRPF centers and quarters, police stations and police quarters, select government hospitals and municipality offices.”

“It was a particularly challenging and mammoth task to plan and execute such a number in one single day, spread over seven cities over 120 locations, all at the same time. This was a unique initiative as at the time, almost all competition were heavily dependent on social media to generate awareness, and Dabur India took the responsibility to actually go on-ground and raise awareness and also help by providing the soap to inspire people to wash hands regularly. We distributed 2.85 lakh soap units in one day to CRPF, police, health workers and sanitation staff while maintaining all norms of social distancing and sanitization. The cities were Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Vijaywada, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Ahmedabad,” Ankur Rajgadhia of Marketing Architects Communication, the on-ground executing agency for this campaign, added.
