The fifth edition of the Windmill Festival, earlier scheduled for August 28th-30th, 2020, will now be hosted from September 11th to 13th, 2020. Organizers Event Capital and Tribe Asia have conceptualized a digital world themed ‘Windmill Festival Virtual Funtown’, a ticketed live virtual event.
The event has brought on board sponsors like Aditiya Birla Health Insurance, Nestlé Nangrow, Nestlé Ceregrow, Singapore Tourism, Fevicreate, Pidilite and Nickelodeon to create deeper brand connects with consumers.
According to an official statement, this festival is not just a replica of the successful Windmill Festival, but an inspired, interactive model with distinctive elements specifically constructed and fashioned to bring a blockbuster experience to audiences.
While the event is designed for the entire family, events have been curated specifically for kids in the age groups of 0-3, 4-7 and 8-14 years.
Attendees will have access to a virtual walk-through with a map to explore and spot their points of interest. Experiences on offer will include shopping, food, learning, fun workshops and shows.
Shyam Chhabria, COO, Event Capital said, "Windmill has been the most favoured and awaited festival among kids and families. The last edition saw 20,000 happy footfalls at the festival. In this special edition, we take our patrons across a virtual journey enthralling them with highly immersive experiences and bringing alive on their screens their most favorite festival brought to them in partnership with leading brands such as Singapore Tourism, Pidilite, Nestlé, Aditya Birla Group and Sarda Farms. In the cluttered space of virtual events, we bring alive a never seen before experience where every area in the festival is interactive and every step taken has an experience to offer."
Highlights of this ‘Funtown’ will be workshops on the Solar System, Robotics, Electronics and Coding, Online Visual Art, Karate & Self Défense, Logical Reasoning & Math, Parent & Child Music & Movement, Keyboard, Piano, Drums, Western and Hindustani Vocals, Music and Animation (Animate your Drawing), etc.
