Sony Music India has signed a recording deal with rapper Raftaar and entered into a partnership with Kalamkaar – an independent label founded by Raftaar and his business partner AnkitKhanna.
The partnership brings into Sony Music young rappers and underground artistes like Deep Kalsi, RashmeetKaur and Yunan.
It kicks off with the release of Yunan’sSaath, co-composed by Deep Kalsi. Sony Music India said it will be launched across all major streaming platforms. The video of Saathchoreographed by Dheeraj Soni, captures the singer demonstrating freestyle street dance (house dance) moves.
Yunan said, “The unprecedented crisis has forced young couples, friends and family to stay apart, and now there are fewer chances to celebrate. But life has to carry on and we need to embrace change as the only constant and not undermine the value of being there for one another. Let ‘Saath’ be an open declaration that love can’t be stopped by even a pandemic”.
