EEMA Releases Post-Pandemic SOPs for Eight Types of Events

A number of jurisdictions and bodies around the world have chalked plans and issued guidelines for reopening of live events post the Covid19 lockdown. 

Not to be left behind, the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) constituted a COVID Task Force that was tasked with creating SOPs for various kinds of events and experiential activities in India, when live on-ground events resume. 

The guidelines were announced at a webinar held on 20th August 2020.  Siddhartha Chaturvedi, NEC - General Secretary, EEMA, headed the Task Force comprised of 15 subject matter experts.

The SOPs unveiled by EEMA for the future of the Events & Experiential Industry includes:

- Weddings / Social Events
- Corporate Events
- Corporate Activations
- Large Conferences 
- Government / Large Scale Public / Political Event
- Rural Marketing 
- Religious Events
- Music Festivals / Concerts

The SOPs are to guide industry professionals while re-approaching people for weddings and social events in the most authentic and safe manner, according to EEMA.

The guidelines are applicable to events or weddings of different sizes across geographies.
