Plush Weddings and Events

Plush Weddings planned and executed an Indian - Korean Wedding for the couple on March 6th – 8th 2020 in Delhi which was beautifully captured by Ridhima Sekhri. The wedding was a small gathering of about 150 people with friends & family traveling from USA, Korea, Japan, Australia, UK, apart from various cities in India.

As the wedding was right before the lockdown, Plush Weddings faced the reality of the COVID-19 scenario and the difficulties that were lying in front of them, especially given the number of travelers who had to come down from different countries to attend the wedding. So what started as a preparation for 150 people gathering was cut down to 85/90 pax as a lot of people couldn't travel from overseas, e.g. Japan: As just before the wedding dates, Indian Government announced no more on arrival visas to be given due to the severity of the situation.

As soon as things started getting more intense, on the day of events, Plush had their team wear masks and be present on sight! They also started following the welcome of guests and greeting with a Namaste as opposed to a handshake or hug! They also made sure their onsite team working on the set up / suppliers and labor were out of the venue by the time the guests came in.

Beautifully designed e-invites made by the bride were given to all. On March 6th, 2020 western wedding was beautifully executed followed by vibrant Mehendi and Sangeet celebration on March 7th, 2020, and finally the Indian traditional wedding on the 8th March 2020. Decor for all the ceremonies was kept simple-rustic and classy. The amalgamation of two different cultures hence had a touch of Indian and Western.

Food selection and menu were different on all three days with a limited number of dishes. Christian Wedding had a menu of western food and finger snacks, Mehendi had more of a Chaat based menu followed by the Indian Wedding with all traditional Indian 'Dilli Style' dishes.

Plush Weddings made sure anything that guests would have needed during those days, in those unprecedented times was taken care of from changing flight/travel schedules of overseas guests to making sure masks were arranged as needed. Also, special bhaji boxes were arranged taking care of the packaging and sanitization of the boxes along with making sure the snacks met the food safety protocols.
